Lunch time is the best time in school

Our children need to walk for so many miles to and from school and when they get to school they cannot go through the day without food as they will not only be hungry but wont be able to focus on learning.

Feeding the children is a program that has not only helped us keep the children in school but has helped in improving concentration and perfomance in their academics. We have been recording 100% pass in our national exams for some years now and part of it is because children have meals in school.

Thank you all for school meals!

This is Samuel

He is enjoying his lunch in school. His Mum told us that before he started school he was unable to wake up in the morning by himself but ever since he started school he gets up very early and when asked why? He said “ I want to go and eat my delicious food”

February is a time when we celebrate the youths in Cameroon. The Youth Day takes place on the February 11every year.

This year 2023 we celebrated the National Youth Day under the theme :

“youth, moral, civic and entrepreneurship rearmament, a guarantee for discipline in building a united and prosperous Cameroon”.

History has it that the date of February 11th was chosen to commemorate the referendum that tookn place on that day in 1961 which saw the southern part of British Cameroons choose to join the newly independent Cameroon while the northern part of British Cameroons chose integration into Nigeria.

Youth day has been a public holiday since 1966. Prelude to the 11th of February school engage in a one week of intense activities like sports, parades, skills and talent shows and cultural activies all over the national territory.

OPENING OF THE ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR 2023/2024

The distribution of free school supplies yearly has contributed to a positive learning environment at Mission School of Hope . When pupils have access to the necessary materials, they can fully participate in classroom activities and complete their assignments. This leads to improved academic performance and increased engagement in the learning process. Children are more likely to focus on their studies when they have the tools they need, resulting in higher attendance rates and a reduced likelihood of dropping out.
