Alumni Spotlight: Meet Aimé

Aimé Etoga was born on the 4th of September 2003. She attended the Mission School of Hope in Molobo, and her bright performance throughout her tenure at the school impressed both her educators and family alike. She had a dog whose name was Vickie and during her free time outside of school she walked around the village with Vickie, who always proved to be extremely popular with the other kids. When asked what was the great memories she has about Mission School of Hope, her response was: "I will always remember the food, it was my best time in school. I woke up daily with new zeal to go to school because I knew lunch time was special. I will never forget the discipline and Bible teachings that have shaped many of us. Today as I pursue my academics in the University of Yaounde 1, I count myself privileged to have been one of the many children who benefited from the free education, health care and love from Mission School of Hope. MSH gave me hope for a bright future. I am studying Sociology and I dream of becoming a teacher” Aimé is one of the many children we are so proud of, and we can’t wait to see what she will accomplish next! I want to use this opportunity to once more say thank you to our partners for their amazing love and support.

Our vibrant community at the Mission School of Hope is full of life and constantly evolving. Keep up with what we are doing this month by watching the video above!

Our mission is hope. We emphasize the power of positive role-modeling; how vital it is for girls and boys to see the success of their contemporaries, and through education, experience, and example– it is within their grasp.

Education as a tool in bringing hope and development to our community

We have 2 schools, the first school is in Molobo and it is French speaking with 196 children, 8 teachers, and 3 school buildings that are made possible by your support.

The second school is a bilingual kindergarten and primary school called the Owen’s Family Campus with 70 children in the kindergarten and 200 children in the primary, making a total of 270 children.

Unleashing Creativity, Building Hope

Arts and Crafts Day at Mission School of Hope

Our annual Arts and Crafts Day at Mission School of Hope was once again a very wonderful day, bringing joy and creativity to the children and our community. This year's theme, "Designing Houses," allowed children to express their imagination and skills, producing impressive designs.

We however noticed no child designed the traditional Baka hut which we had hoped they will design. When we asked their reasons, they said everyone can build the Baka hut so there was no need to design it.

Sincerely some of us don’t have a clue on how to go about building the hut.

Arts and Crafts Day at Mission School of Hope is more than just a fun event – it's an investment in the creative, emotional, and cognitive development of the children. By embracing arts and culture, we empower the Baka community's future generations to build a brighter, more innovative tomorrow

Back to School 2024-2025

Our back-to-school campaign is more than just a return to classrooms; it's a testament to the power of unity and compassion. Students and teachers alike have come together to share essential school supplies, ensuring that every child has the tools they need to succeed.

As the new academic year unfolds, we are committed to fostering a nurturing environment where every student can reach their full potential. Our dedicated teachers are passionate about igniting curiosity, inspiring creativity, and empowering young minds.

Thank you all so much for school supplies

BACK TO SCHOOL 2022/2023

It is always wonderful to receive our children back to school and to welcome the new ones. This school year started on a sad page for us with the death of our headteacher Mr. Anathole. A minute of silence was observed in his honour before the opening ceremony. After the prayers , didactic materials like books, pens, pencils, text books etc were distributed to the children.

During these unprecedented times, the role of our mission has become even more vital in combating the coronavirus and its impact on our community.
